Ruby Gersh joined the diamond industry as a diamond cutter approximately 25 years ago. He developed his skills and expertise as a diamond designer and manufacturer, but always looked for something more creative then polishing the classic rounds and fancy shapes that the industry is known for.

He succeeded in differentiating himself as the inventor and creator of unique diamond shapes such as the Lotus Cut, the Cross Cut as well as the Lovely Cut and other diamond shapes with interesting designs variety of facets, angles and forms.

He formed R.G.S Diamonds Ltd. fifteen years ago and during this time established a worldwide loyal customer base of jewellers who appreciated the original shapes that emerged from the rough diamonds that he chose to work with.

Ruby says that his inspiration came from a childhood studying in music and art school, travelling with his parents and living in various countries and being exposed to different cultures. His artistic side was further influenced by family members such as actors, painters, and architects. All these experiences shaped his passion for art design and beauty.

Ruby's commitment and ability to continuously conceptualise new cuts is supported by blending his love for the arts and fashion with his diamond cutting expertise. This is the reason for his constant innovation and why he is considered to be a world class diamond manufacturer, designer and also inventor of complex diamonds shapes.
